NumisWiki.com is designed to be a numismatic and coin collecting encyclopedia site. The goal is to have a lot of coin information be presented that will be of use to all coin collectors. So, take a look around, explore the links and have some fun learning a little about the greatest hobby on Earth!
Currently Registered Users can edit and create articles in most of this area of the site. Guests cannot participate in editing any pages or discussions until they register. This is to alleviate the spam that is increasing as the site gets popular. Only specific pages related to the site such as navigation and help pages protected from editing by everyone.
Note: Registered users have a number of benefits including being able to choose to navigate the site without advertisements.
Please feel free to improve and add to this Encyclopedia. If you see an error, correct it. If you see something that can be expanded, expand it. If you see something that can be added, add it. That is the real strength of an encyclopedia like this...anyone can improve it. The Projects section of the site lists stub articles and some of the most wanted pages on the site. It is a good place to start if you want to add some new content.
A good place to start browsing this site is the Table Of Contents. It is a listing of all the categories and articles that can be found in the encyclopedia. There is also a Testing area for those that want to get a feel for editing articles. It is actually quite easy to edit and modify articles.

- Please limit articles to topics that are related to Coins, Coin Collecting, or Numismatics. This does encompass a lot of territory, though.
- All articles should be written from a neutral point of view without bias or judgement. Facts should take precedent over opinion although opinion does have its place when writing abut this hobby.
- No posting of any Copyrighted Material of any kind. This includes text, pictures or anything else.
- No Advertisements, Spamming, Promotion (or Demotion) of commercial entities, businesses, sellers, dealers, venues, or the like.
- Please cite your sources when possible.
- No flaming, no slander, no libel, and no defamatory statements.
- By submitting your work you promise you wrote it yourself, or copied it from public domain resources — this does not include most web pages.
